The Landbank Consultancy, an independent
environmental agency, reviewed and evaluated the available research on the
environmental impact of throwaway diapers. Their conclusion: compared to cloth
diapers, throwaway diapers use 20 times more raw materials, three times more
energy, and twice as much water; they generate 60 times more waste.

Here is the straight scoop. The honest truth.
Cotton Diapers are more comfortable than disposables!
Think about it. What kind of underwear would you rather wear? Soft
cotton or high-tech toilet paper, loaded with chemical gel? (Sodium Polyacrylate-the same
substance removed from tampons in 1985 due to toxic shock syndrome.*)
Cotton Diapers are the better environmental choice!
Everybody (except profit-minded disposables manufacturers) says so! Ask
us. We'll name names.*
Why is it better to have my diapers commercially washed instead of
home laundered?
Our 14 step laundering cycle can’t be
matched at home. Our
water reaches temperatures of over 150 degrees (like
hospitals!) in our soak/wash/sanitize/rinse routine to insure
complete sanitization. Also,
our high grade, energy efficient washers and dryers effectively
clean diapers without wasting water like home washing does (home
processes waste a lot of
water!) Our ph balancing mechanism matches a baby’s body perfectly –not
possible at home. Our
rinsing processes are so efficient there are never
any detergent residues – not possible at home (over time
home laundering builds up detergent residues!)
Cotton Diapers take a little longer to change than disposables!!
No denying it, but we're talking seconds, not minutes. And with the new
Velcro® diaper covers with "stay-dry" gussets, it's a breeze! It may
sound funny to you now, but this actually quality time with your baby anyway.
Cotton Diapers are delivered right to your home!
Can't get any more convenient than that! Our "to your
doorstep" delivery service requires no contracts.
The best way to prevent painful diaper rash is to keep your baby "dry," right?
Not Really. Clean is more important and "dry" is not like clean, despite
what certain disposable manufacturers lead you to believe. A dirty diaper is a dirty
diaper, no matter how it feels. To protect your baby's sensitive skin from chafing,
irritation, and painful rashes, change your baby soon after wetting.
Question: Why do so many "sitters" require the mass-marketed, chemically-laden disposables?
Answer: They can leave the diaper, and it's contents, on your child longer. Sure your child can "output" an extra time or two, but then s/he has to "sit in it". It's just easier for the sitter. Require regular changes for your child's
health!!
Plus, unlike disposables our cotton diapers feature
bacteriostat that creates a barrier on the soiled diaper to slow the growth of bacteria
and protect your baby's skin. You can't get this kind of protection from a single
use diaper!
